I am a freelance writer living in Leicester, UK. I recently graduated with a first class honours in Film Studies and Journalism at De Montfort University. I am currently studying an Investigative Journalism MA in association with Channel 4. I  have worked with the Leicester Mercury, The Observer, varying online blogs and local publications.

I am proficient in InDesign, SEO, writing for the internet and social media.

I am primarily interested in writing about culture and have covered topics from mental health to fashion and beyond. I have experience in interviewing, reviewing and a particular background in first person writing.

"I'm not sure how it started - whether she got in touch with us, or we got in touch with her - but I had the good fortune to use Alice Gibbs' work several times while at the Leicester Mercury.

"She's reliable, sharp and enthusiastic. Most importantly of all, she's a good writer, who turns in good, clean copy and can to turn her hand to a range of different journalistic styles.

"In these cost-cutting days, when news titles are looking to make drastic savings in newsrooms, it would be dangerous thing indeed if all student journalists were as talented as Alice."

- Jeremy Clay, Features at Leicester Mercury

I am available for freelance writing and event coverage at any time. I am a reliable writer who can work closely to house styles and to sharp deadlines.

When I'm not working I can usually be found drinking copious amounts of coffee and making underground pop-culture references.
